초록

본 연구에서는 e-Learning을 통한 다문화상담자 교육이 상담자의 고정관념, 다문화상담 자기효능감에 미치는 효과를 검증해 보고자하였다. 서울경기지역의 A, C대학 평생교육원 수강자를 대상으로 16주간 온-오프라인 다문화상담자 교육을 실시하였다. 실험집단은 적극적 토론중심 교수방법 수강자 32명, 비교집단은 소극적 토론중심 교수방법 수강자 32명, 통제집단의 경우 무선 표집 한 25명이었다. 종속변인은 고정관념 척도, 다문화상담 자기효능감 척도를 사용하였고, 실험처치(실험집단, 통제집단)와 측정시기(사전, 사후)에 따른 차이검증을 위해 사전검사를 공변인으로 공변량분석을 하였다. 연구결과 e-Learning을 통한 다문화상담자 교육은 고정관념, 다문화상담 자기효능감 전체에는 통계적으로 유의한 효과가 있었다. 다문화상담 교육 방식에 따른 차이 검증 결과 소극적 토론방식보다는 적극적 토론 방식이 고정관념 감소나 다문화상담 자기효능감 향상에 효과적이었다. 다문화 접촉국가 수에 따른 효과성 검증 결과, 중간수준의 다문화 접촉 경험(4개 국가 미만)자가 높은 수준의 다문화접촉 경험(4개 국가 이상)자나 다문화 내담자 경험이 없는 경우보다 고정관념이 더 크게 감소되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 후속 연구를 위한 제안을 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop an online course for multi-cultural counselors in order to enhance their capacity. Participants were recruited from the para-professional staff who enrolled in life-long education programs and they took either the multi-cultural counseling course administered in the form of blended learning(combining online learning classes and off-line seminars) or a general counseling course administered as an online course during the 16-week period. 64 participants who assigned to an experimental condition were divided into two different instructional method groups. 25 control group participants took the general online counseling course. Results showed that the multi-cultural counseling education had statistically significant effect on counselors’ stereotype of multi-cultural clients, and overall multi-cultural counseling self-efficacy. In addition, more active involvement in discussion activities was associated with lower scores in stereotype and higher scores in multi-cultural counseling self-efficacy. Further research is needed to examine effect of the developed multi-cultural counseling contents among various populations such as students majoring counseling.
