초록

이 연구의 목적은 다문화시대 시민교육으로서 다문화교육의 필요성을 토대로 학부 교양강좌를 설계하기 위한 이론적 기반과 실제적 요건을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 대학의 사명이라는 맥락에서 시민교육의 사명과 지향을 살펴보고, 다문화교육을 위한 학부강좌의 조건을 탐색해보았다. 또한 다문화교육을 위한 학부강좌 설계를 위한 이론적 기초로, 다문화교육의 목표로서의 세계시민성 논의와 다문화시대 시민성 논의를 살펴보았다. 다음으로, 다문화교육의 영역이 어떠한 차원에서 이해되고 실행되는지 검토하여, 체계의 측면에서는 인지적 차원(지식과 정보), 정의적 차원(소통, 성찰을 통한 가치와 태도변화), 실천적 차원(연대와 성장)으로 구성된 모델을, 내용적 측면에서는 다문화교육을 위한 단계적 접근 모델을, 운영 측면에서는 다문화친화적 교수자의 태도와 강좌문화의 요건을 도출하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과가 다문화시대 시민교육으로서 학부 교양강좌를 설계와 개설, 실행에 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이라 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the theoretical basis and practical requirements for designing undergraduate liberal arts courses based on the necessity of multicultural education as civic education in the multicultural era. To this end, this study examined the mission and direction of civic education in the context of the university's mission, and explored the conditions of undergraduate multicultural education. In addition, as a theoretical basis for the design of undergraduate multicultural education courses, discussions on global citizenship as the goal of multicultural education and citizenship in the multicultural era were examined. Next, by examining at what level the multicultural education area is understood and implemented, in terms of the system, the cognitive level(knowledge and information), the affective level(change of values ​​and attitudes through communication and reflection), and the practical level( solidarity and growth), a step-by-step approach model for multicultural education in terms of content, and a multicultural-friendly attitude of instructors and requirements for lecture culture in terms of operation. It is expected that the results of this study will give implications for the design, establishment, and implementation of undergraduate liberal arts courses as civic education in the multicultural era.
