초록

오늘날 재한조선족 집단거주지 내에서 분절동화현상이 강화되고 있다. 특히 재한조선족은 집단거주지 범위를 점점 확대하면서 우리문화와 동화, 융화, 통합보다는 차별화 또는 경계구분을 분명하게 하고 있다. 분절동화현상이 재한조선족의 정체성형성에도 많은 영향을 주면서 한･중정부도 다양한 정책제시와 실질적 정책변화를 연구하고 있다. 이들의 집단거주지가 무엇보다 우리나라 속의 또 다른 중국으로 이미지가 각인되고 그 속에서 시장과 이익단체, 관계망형성이 강화된다면 한･중관계의 호불호에 따라 우리에게 큰 영향을 줄 수 있는 집단 무기로의 전환가능성도 있다. 따라서 재한조선족의 집단거주지 내에서 분절동화현상이 갖는 함의를 ‘다름’의 인정과 문화에 대한 이해 요구, 평등한 법 및 제도의 합리적 수정에 대한 기대, 디아스포라적 인식과 포용적 고려 요구에 대한 긍정적 관점에서 살펴보았다.

Today, the phenomenon of segmented assimilation is intensifying in gro up residential areas of Korean Chinese people in Korea. Especially, as the Korean Chinese expand their residential areas, they are increasingly drawing clear borders from the Korean culture instead of promoting integration and assimilation into it. As the segmented assimilation trend is substantially influencing the formation of the Korean Chinese identity, the Korean and Chinese governments are proposing various policies and researching practical changes that are necessary. If their group residential areas are perceived as a small China within Korea and separate market, interest groups, and network are formed, the community can turn into a weapon that can have a serious effect on South Korea according to the Korea-China relationship. For those reasons, this study investigated implications of segmented assimilation found in the group residential areas of the Korean Chinese in Korea, from a positive viewpoint, based on understanding and accepting ‘difference’ and culture, rational modification of law to ensure equality, and diaspora-based recognition and consideration.
