초록

본 연구는 다문화가정 청소년의 진로지원이 중요한 사안으로 요구되는 시점에서 결혼이주여성의 문화적응 유형(통합형, 동화형, 주변형, 분리형)이 자녀의 진로지원행동에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고, 이들 관계에서 자존감의 조절효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년-학부모 패널 제7차 자료를 사용하였으며, 1,188명의 결혼이주여성을 분석대상으로 삼았다. 분석결과, 다문화가정 어머니의 통합형 문화적응(+), 주변형 문화적응(-), 자존감(+)이 자녀 진로지원행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자존감은 통합형 및 동화형 문화적응과 자녀진로지원행동과의 관계에서 조절효과를 가졌으며, 다른 문화적응 유형에서는 자존감의 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응과 자존감, 그리고 자녀의 진로지원을 위한 실천적, 정책적 제언을 하였다.

As career support for youth from multicultural families becomes more important, this study was intended to verify the effect of acculturation types(integration, assimilation, marginalization and seperation) on career support behavior for children of mothers, and to examine the moderating effect of self-esteem in the relation between acculturation types and career support behavior for children. To this end, it used the 7th data of multicultural youth- parent panels of National Youth Policy Institute, and analyzed 1,188 mothers from multicultural families for the subjects. As a result of the analysis, it showed the positive effect in case of integration type and self-esteem, the negative effect in case of the marginalization type on career support behavior for children. In addition, the moderating effect of self-esteem has been shown in the relation between integrated acculturation type and assimilation acculturation type and career support behavior for children. Based on the results of this study, it gave the practical and policy suggestions on acculturation, self-esteem and career support behavior for children of mothers from multicultural families.
